Sun-Kissed Skin

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! The weather here has been a little indecisive lately (one day raining, one day cool, one day hot) but since it's getting closer to summer and we are having a lot more of those sunny days, I thought this post was totally appropriate!

Getting your skin summer ready can be such a drag after some harsh winter months but I have four easy steps that will get you feeling like you are a Victoria's Secret model ;) You can use this routine as often as you like depending on the results you desire! I pretty much do all of these steps every time I shower (except the self-tanning lotion, I do that about 2-3 times a week).

Everything is linked so feel free to click on the product name to purchase! Every single one of these products can be purchased from Target but I linked the Amope to Amazon since it's a lower price on there!

1. Use the Amope Pedi Perfect Electronic Pedicure Foot File ($25.70) on any and all dry spots/calluses. I know it says foot file but you can use it everywhere! This thing is the shizzzz! I'm not even messing around. I had been wanting this thing for forever and I finally got it this weekend and as soon as I got home, I immediately whipped it out and used it, and then my mom used it and Bryce used it! We all fell in love immediately. All you do is turn it on and hold it over your dry spots and voila! They are smooth as a baby's bottom! Use it dry (before you shower).

2. Shower and exfoliate! Use a loofa ($2.09) in the shower with any soap you prefer! My personal favorites are this one ($3.49) for winter and this one ($3.49) for summer! Of course, you can use either one year round!

3. After using the loofa and soap, I like to use another exfoliant to go over the skin once more. This just makes me feel certain that my skin is super soft and prepped for the self-tanning lotion. My go-to at the moment is this Alba Botanica Hawaiian Facial Scrub ($9.99). It says it's a facial scrub but I use it on my entire body. It has papaya and pineapple enzymes in it that buff out your skin mixed with vitamin E, aloe and jojoba to soothe and moisturize your skin. It smells SO good!

4. After showering, dry off completely and use a self-tanner or a self-tanning lotion. Lately, I have been using this Jergens Natural Glow ($8.79 & I got the medium to tan shade) and it's been working great! Giving me that subtle tan (not orange or streaky). It's the perfect gradual tanner so that you don't go from pasty white to orange in one day. Although, you do see a difference after just one use which I love! I'm a lotion freak (especially with pregnancy) so I use about four different lotions every time I lotion up so you can totally use another lotion after the Jergens to get that extra moisture or the smell you love!

And you are done! Hopefully you all found these four steps to be super easy and not too time consuming! I know I always feel like going to a pool party, the beach or the lake after I get done!

xoxo
