32 Weeks Bumpdate
Bumpdates have been on the back burner the last couple of weeks but this one should get you all up to date on my 8th month of pregnancy! Ever since we moved back to Bakersfield, life has been much, much, much busier but I am looooving it! We get to have so much fun with our family and friends on a daily basis and I know Boston is having the time of his life with people his size. It used to be just me and him most days when we lived in Ventura but now I can tell he gets super bored when it's just me and him all day long (little people are much more fun than mama).
If you know Bakersfield, then you know how incredibly hot it gets here during the summer. This heat mixed with pregnancy has not been the best combo but I am trying to make the best out of all the pool days I am getting! It feels so good to lay on a raft and just feel weightless for a little while! Boston loves the pool as much (if not more) as I do so it's been perfect for us. The dark line on my belly has made a return and I feel like it might be due to my belly seeing the sun so much lately! I had it with Boston as well and it took months to go away after I had him. Some people say their line never fully goes away but that wouldn't bother me because it's just a little reminder of the baby/babies you grew! The heat has also made my cravings change a little. I am eating a ton more fruit and chomping on ice like no one's business! My hubs just loves when I'm crunching on ice in bed ;)
With less than two months until Baby K is here, I am trying my hardest to take advantage of being pregnant and soaking in all the alone time with my main man, Boss. I feel like this second pregnancy has flown by much quicker than my first since I have Boston to keep me entertained now but I also feel like I am SO ready for miss Kollyns to be here. The first pregnancy is so exciting and new and the second is a little more like "been there, done that". There are so many moments I love and adore about being pregnant but there are definitely moments when I just want to be back in all my old clothes, have a cocktail, and not feel hungry and full all at the same time! I hate complaining about pregnancy for one second because I know what a blessing and privilege it is but I also want people to know that I'm real and it's not all peaches and cream the entire time. The process is SO worth the result and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Kollyns weighs about 3.75 pounds and measures about 16.7 inches long now and is taking up more and more room in this belly of mine. Her kicks are so much more intense than I ever remember Boston's being. She literally stops me in my tracks sometimes. My mom put her hand on my belly the other day and Kollyns kicked so hard that it scared my mom and me! It was hilarious!
We are in the process of finding a new home so I haven't been able to start on her nursery quite yet but I do have all the ideas saved in my head (and phone). I have ordered two different rugs from Urban Outfitters so that I can see them in person and decide which one I like better. They are both super cute and colorful! She will be getting all of Boston's nursery furniture which is all white so the rug will definitely be the statement piece in her room! I can't wait to get into the house and see my vision come to reality! Boston will also be getting a new big boy bedroom and I'm just as excited to decorate his room as well! I will definitely post pictures once we are in and settled!
Thanks for taking the time to read my bumpdate! This post was extra long because I felt like I had a lot to catch you all up on so I apologize if it was drawn out! Only about seven more bumpdates left until this baby girl is here!
Tank and dress are both by Isabella Oliver and you can find them at www.isabellaoliver.com. They have an amazing maternity selection!
