Kolly's Six Month Pictures

Six months (or seven and a half now) have flown by in the blink of an eye. And let me tell ya...when they say that everything happens so much quicker with your second baby, they ain't messin' around! It may be hectic at times but life sure is twice as nice now. This little Kolly Drew of mine has brought so much joy and sweetness to our family. Just looking at her brightens our day and puts the biggest smile on our faces. Boston loves her so much and each time he sees her, he says in the highest pitched voice, 'hi kolly girl' (with barely making out the l's). And every time she starts crying, he yells 'NO, kolly girl'. It cracks me up!

Kolly Updates

Kolly is now sitting up and getting on all fours but not yet crawling. She barely sucks her thumb anymore which makes me sad because it was the cutest thing ever but I guess it's nice that she won't have to break herself from it later in life. I sucked my thumb until I was in the first grade and I made myself stop when someone invited me to spend the night at their house. She is still nursing and she hates food. She gags and spits it out every time I feed her. We have tried bananas, apples, pears, green beans, avocado, corn, peas, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, puffs, cheerios and the list goes on! She pretty much hates it all equally. Although, she did suck on a churro and she didn't seem to mind that!

She's not on a sleep schedule but she has somewhat of a consistent pattern. She still wakes up once or twice in the middle of the night to nurse and she wakes up for the day anywhere between 7-9. If we were to stay home all day, she would take two good naps (2-3 hours each) but since we are usually out and about, she takes cat naps until we get home. She's not the best about sleeping out in public for long periods of time now. She still loves her rock 'n play to sleep in. We really need to transfer her to the crib soon but a little boy name Boston is still sleeping in it. We were going to transition him to his big bed a few weeks ago but we are nervous because he moves constantly throughout the night. When he comes in bed with us, he ends up upside down, sideways and backwards. We have a side rail for his bed but we're afraid he will fall off the end of the bed so we may need to get one more rail. What we're doing is working for us right now but we definitely need to make those changes soon.

Family Pictures

Our photographer, Courtney McLemore, took these photos about a month ago and she always seems to amaze me. She captures so much chaos and somehow turns it into the sweetest moments. It was raining on and off this day so we were super nervous we were going to get rained out but the weather cooperated at the right time and it worked out perfectly, thank goodness! Boss was being his normal crazy self and running all around exploring everything. There were the cutest little bunnies hopping all around which of course intrigued him. And Kolly was just hanging out, chilling, like she normally does. As you all know, I'm a sucker for a picture (or a hundred of them) but it's only because it gives us so many great memories to look back on and our kids can look back on these and see each stage of life (and how cute they were)! I'm already looking forward to her one year pictures! p.s. all of our clothes are linked below the pictures :)
